Bintan Island, Indonesia
Not much for us to see: No town near the port, just this old steamship set up on a spit of land. Tourist attraction? Movie set? A mystery.
There are resorts on the island. There’s a billboard with their logos—ClubMed and so on—but not on our side of the island. The port’s shuttle took us to see a local resort that had a lovely beach, but no occupants.
